Glen Dornoch Waterway Golf Links
About
This beautiful facility is located on 270 pristine acres at the North end of the Grand Strand. Blessed with a unique topography and large mature trees, the course meanders down to the inter-coastal waterway with scenic vistas to distract you at every turn.
This 6900 yard Clyde Johnston design is owned and managed by the same group that developed the fabled Heather Glen links and the service you have grown to expect from this organization is evident the moment you drive up to the clubhouse. Give this course a try the next time you vist the Myrtle Beach area. You won't be disappointed!

Minor Issue
Toilet seats in men's room were a discolored yellow. kind of gross (appeared seat have changed color due to age.) I recommend a trip to home depot for new ones.
well maintained course
like all quality Myrtle Beach courses, it’s crowded. Great condition and challenging.
Found a Gem
First time playing here. What a treat. Great views, fantastic location and in very good shape. We were concerned about the pace at the start. It was very busy but everyone moved along well. Just a bit of a back up on 16, 17, & 18, but you will understand when you play these finishing holes. Demanding and picturesque. Select the appropriate tees and enjoy a fantastic day.
We will be back in the spring for sure.
A well manicured golf course
A challenging layout, very scenic with friendly staff and a beautiful club house
Tough course!
There are many blind shots on this course. Beautiful course. Play was tough as it was just over seeded. Rough was deep and thick. Keep the ball in the fairway! There were many shots where we did not know where to go. Lots of waste bunkers in strategic positions! You must play the course and be patient.. Beautiful views of inter coastal waterway!
No Marshalls = Long Rounds (Revolutionary Thinking)
Like most courses in the N. Myrtle Beach area, GD would benefit from a Marshall or two on the course. Our round was 4:45 and I have no doubt that somewhere in front of us was 4-some having a leisurely round. Get a Marshall out there and cut off the head of the snake, so that the rest of us do not suffer their slow play. Sad, really, but not limited to GD.
Other than that major complaint, the course was in great shape; greens were recently verticut but I can't knock a course for that; and, the layout is fun with only a few challenging holes. Just use the provided yardage book. It helps! The final 3 holes get a lot of notoriety but honestly, the only knee-knocking shot was on the approach to 16 green, with no margins for error. Everything was else was garden-variety challenges, even 18.
Definitely a must-play course and I will be back.
Family golf outing
The course was great but the women golfers felt it was too difficult.
Greens ugh
I know it is a necessary evil to slice and treat the greens but perhaps let us know that before we book a tee time.. I would have played elsewhere had I known
No Complaints. One of the best in N.MB
It's on our Favorite's list. Our group has been coming to MB for the past 17 years. We played it for the 1st time in 2015 and loved it. With so many courses in MB, we try to mix it up, but we've played it 3X now and each time has been a great experience. While several holes are extremely challenging, it also has many forgiving holes as well. This course has beautiful vista's and you won't be disappointed views.
Amazing
This is a must play course if you are in the area. The course is beautiful, challenging and fun.
Tests for Accurate Shot Making
Lots of forced carry’s on this course and will test your shot making abilities. Admittedly a bit tough with little room for error, made more so with the lack of course knowledge. Several layups if too short off the tee. Bring a good supply of balls!
Several holes run along the inter coastal waterways and are very scenic.
Good but........
It is a nice course but there are some quircky holes. The course was wet but it in good condition. Its not my favorite course in Myrtle but there are some that are far worse.
