Glen Dornoch Waterway Golf Links
About
This beautiful facility is located on 270 pristine acres at the North end of the Grand Strand. Blessed with a unique topography and large mature trees, the course meanders down to the inter-coastal waterway with scenic vistas to distract you at every turn.
This 6900 yard Clyde Johnston design is owned and managed by the same group that developed the fabled Heather Glen links and the service you have grown to expect from this organization is evident the moment you drive up to the clubhouse. Give this course a try the next time you vist the Myrtle Beach area. You won't be disappointed!

#16...413 yards long...layup off tee with 3 wood leaving 165 yards into 15 mph and no misses allowed-this is not gimmicky-a little tough, maybe! Photo submitted by LarryNoli on 08/02/2017

two courses in one
after a manageable front nine, the back nine presents several unique and challenging holes. definitely worth trying
Glen Dornach
A nice course, the fairways were not in great condition and uncut.
great course
Great views, layout, no houses on course. Waterway holes were great. Only drawback was back nine took 2.5 hours after finishing the front nine in 1.5. Overall great experience.
Waterways finest
Love the elevated layouts and views are fantastic!
Very nice condition and course layout.
Very challenging course for the average golfer. But would highly recommend.

Course conditions. Greens were in pretty good shape, but speeds were very inconsistent. Areas in the fairways had either wet or dry spots with no grass in some areas. The staff were very friendly, we actually got out an hour before our tee time. Then we realized why there weren’t a lot of people playing the course. We played this course a couple of years ago and it was in much petter condition.
It was fine, but glad I didn't pay full price
I got a GolfNow hot deal for $50 so I'm fine with the round and getting to play a new course. However, while the greens were practically perfect the rest of the course wasn't in prime shape. I think the listed rate was $114 and I would have been pretty ticked off if I'd actually paid that. There are a couple of holes on the river that are nice but based on the website I was expecting a bit more. It's not terrible but I wont be back.
Not Handicap Accessible and Unfriendly Staff
Played this course 5 May 2022. Experience was not enjoyable at all. We had a handicapped golfer in our group. They had no provision for handicap flags on that course. A number of holes were cart path only (not par 3 holes). Our handicap player was confronted on a par 4 (cart path only) for driving on the fairway. Experience was so bad he stopped playing. incredible in this day and age that this course was unwilling to provide reasonable accommodation under the ADA act. After discussions with the owner at the turn, some accommodation was made but completely ruined our groups experience. We will never return to this course and caution groups who have handicapped members to 'be advised', as there is no mention of this on their current web site
Beautiful course
Beautiful but difficult if you miss the fairway. Staff very courteoys.
Beautiful holes especially on the intercoastal
Very nice course with tall trees on both sides of fairways. Greens were in great shape they rolled well not as quick as I thought they should be. Fairways cut tight. Fun course you cannot bomb it, must think it through wether to lay up for next shot.
Outstanding finishing holes
Sitting in the rocking chair overlooking the intercostal reminds me of the ocean course at kiawa island SC
GD is one special place
Slow
Got started about 20 minutes late. Waiting for groups to play through. Very slow front 2:45. Great on back. A very nice layout. Probably not good for high handicap
Awesome views
Course was in very good condition. Fairways a bit thin but will fill in soon with warmer weather. Greens were fantastic not much movement and makeable speed.. great character in the holes. Very different and challenging.. course offers a different experience from most area courses.
