Nice course for the cost and time of season
It was a great day for late November. The grass on the fairways was dormant but very playable. Tee boxes and greens had live grass and in good condition. No amenities open at this time of year. Staff was friendly and accommodating. One important disappointment to me was there are electronic course layout devices in the carts but apparently the course hasn’t installed any GPS function. It shows the hole layout and cart position but no distance to flag or center of green or to hazards. And not important, it offered an electronic scorecard on the cart but that wasn’t in function either. Overall a good, playable course with very friendly staff, well maintained and relatively ver inexpensive.
Neat little course
Front nine pretty gettable, back much tougher and we bogged down at one point 4 groups on a hole but very enjoyable. Greens rolled true, a couple on the back had issues. Will definitely play again
Great course in nice shape.
I had not played this course in years due mostly to negative reviews on this site but after seeing more positive reviews I decided to play. The course is in great shape. Some firm tee boxes but fairways were great and the greens were very nice. A few greens on the back had a bare spot here and there but overall very good. A nice mix of holes with some nice elevation changes. Great value for the money. One off course issue was that they did not open the snack bar the day I played and there is no cart person on the course or anywhere at all to buy a bottle of water or a soft drink. They should at least have a drink cooler set up in the pro shop. But overall a great course that I will play again.
Don't let the pictures fool you
Don't let the picture fool you, this course can be challenging! There is plenty of elevation change, and an overall fun course. Some greens had areas that where damaged, but the hole was no where close. Some holes where forgiving, and others are not at all. The pace was great, and the value was good for the conditions. Also appreciated the GPS in the carts as a first time player at this course!
Major Improvements made by the city
I was set to not play this course again 2 years ago despite living 5 mins away. Gave it a shot earlier this year because I couldn’t find a tee time anywhere else and I must say I’m extremely excited about the improvements made since the city purchased the course. The greens and fairways are in excellent shape and the driving range has grass now
They are in the process of fixing the last major issue I had with the course which is how hard the tee boxes are, making it difficult to get a tee into some of them. It seems to improve each week I have played there the last month. Playing again this coming Saturday and most likely will become a member next year
Staff is also very friendly and welcoming

The course is in great shape. I was pleasantly surprised. It was more than 7 years since I last played this course and it is quite obvious that the management team made a concerted effort to improve the course condition. The greens were a bit slow but consistent and only one green was beaten but overall, they in great shape. I will be back to play again. It a great challenge for all level of golfers.
Really good condition
Had not played there in three years, major improvement course was in tremendous condition.
I’ll be back in a couple of weeks
A golf ⛳️ gem in Greer
The course was in great shape and provided all players of different abilities a challenge on each hole.
Greer Golf
Beautiful golf course. Very challenging yet enjoyable.
Amenities were lacking some. Staff was courteous and friendly.
Improve
Fairways were good but the tee boxes were like concrete and the greens were like sandtraps.
Not worth it
Unless you hit down the middle of the fairway every shot don’t bother. Paying $21 in cart fees only to have the cart shut off on you and you have to back up at a snails pace. Ruined the round for me. Never again.
Course getting much better quickly
The Greens keeper has been here a few years now and there is a dramatic difference. Fairways are looking good. Just a few spots on one green that I saw. This course gets a good bit of play and could use a ranger to keep play going. This is not a long course but a miss placed shot will result in a lost ball. Bunch of side hill and downhill lies. Greens have some slope as well. Driver not needed on every hole for sure. Place your tee shot to your favorite yardage and hit it below the hole is very good advice here. Course is on the rise. Worth a round if you are nearby.
Course needs work
Greens at this course were extremely bumpy with large patches of bare dirt and sand. Tee boxes were in bad shape on several holes and extremely hard packed. I was breaking off tees on almost every hole trying to sink them into the ground to hit driver. The range was the same way, very very firm. They turned the sprinklers on while we were on the range and soaked our golf cart. We were hit at multiple times on the back 9 by a solo golfer behind us but there were no course marshals to make him stop. Fairways were in great shape though and the course layout is quite challenging on several holes.
Don’t waste your money
Horrible layout! Drive the ball to middle of fairways and they roll out of bounds! Many fairways are sloped 30 degrees right to left!! Add in a lot of blind tee shots and you have no idea if you’re in bounds or not!
Cafe was closed, no vending machines to get a drink, no snack bar. I would not recommend it at all.
