Was a bit put off by the guy in the clubhouse
I was 50 minutes early for my tee time since I like to use the putting green, especially being my first time playing the course. Upon checking in I was advised “you’re a bit early!!” With some serious attitude. Not a great first impression.
Beautiful Course
I will definitely play here several more times this year!
The course is a hidden secret
This course is a hidden secret as it was my first time playing the course and I did not even know that the course was here in my area. The course layout is great. The course is very well maintained. The greens were a little bit slower than what I am used to but they were in great shape. The golf carts are electric and have GPS which is a great feature.
Pine lakes is nice
Every Friday a group of 5 or 6 play snail crap speed and back up play.
One of the worst kept courses in this part of South Carolina
Greens are pretty much half sand and half weeds. The fairways are all weeds almost no grass. I guess at least it was cut pretty short. Played here about a month ago and the course was pretty similar condition, but greens even worse now even though it’s prime season for keeping a course clean. Simply avoid this course even though it’s cheap.
Ace on #5 from 176 with a Mizuno hot metal 7 iron
Course was ok. Greens a little beat up. But #5 was beautiful. So beautiful in fact that this here guy Zachary Timms aced it from 176 with a Mizuno 923 hot metal 7 iron using a srixon z star #2.
Good Course for the Price
This course is great for new golfers and or those looking for golf on a budget. Course layout only has water on 18th hole and was in pretty good shape. If you aren’t used to the type of grass they have on greens then it’s a challenge to read them. Only real complaint I have is they overbooked by a lot.
Terrific value
Terrific value course, worth the drive. Carts include gps tracking and speakers.
Nice layout
Very good for the money. Looks like they are working to make improvements. Nice new carts with gps!
Amazing
I was greatly surprised by the quality of the course for such a low price. Amazing.
Anytime
Fun course in good condition, new cart's are big improvement.
My family membership was revoked unprofessionally
I was thinking about joining Pinelake golf club in sept 2021 at the time it did not benefit me to become a member since i played other courses. My friends wanted me to join so they told me I could get a family membership and my son could play also. I told them he was 21 and living at home and my friend said my wife is over 21 why cant your son be on family as long as your wife does not play. He suggested we talk to one of the owners Mandy Reeves McCLellion and we did. I told her i would join if i could get my son on family membership she said she would talk it over with her husband. A week later she came and told me that they would honor my request as long as he lived at my address. I joined September 2021 the club championship was the next month in October and i won the club Sr. championship. My son and i enjoyed the family membership through last quarter of 2021. Since i won the championship my first 2 quarters of 2022 were waived but we kept receiving family member rates. It came time for me to pay the third quarter i received my letter that my family membership was due. I paid Grant the same one i paid in 2021 and he made a mistake the first time by not charging me correctly which was an under payment but i caught it and paid the rest. when i paid the third quarter of 2022 he made the same mistake i paid with debit card and he withdrew for single member without my consent since i did not get receipt i failed to check the charge. However we continued to receive family rates through July and into middle of August and then without notice they told my son he was taken off family membership during time he was paying to play. I ask Grant why did you take him off and he said he was told to by owners. I contacted Mandy and ask her why and she said because he is over 21 and I said he was over 21 when he joined and you told me via your husband that he could be on family as long as he lived at my address and she denied ever telling me that.I could not believe what i was hearing it was an awful feeling me being a senior and the club champion it was such disrespect the worst i have ever experienced. My thought is how did i ever get the family rate for 3 quarters if someone did not approve it. Grant was told i had family membership as well as everyone else that worked there.
