Harbor golf course at Wild Dunes Resort in Isle of Palms, South Carolina
ISLE OF PALMS, S.C. -- Wild Dunes Resort on the nothern tip of Isle of Palms north of Charleston, South Carolina boasts two Tom Fazio golf courses, the Links Course and the Harbor Course.
Wild Dunes Resort's Harbor Course was built in 1988 along a meandering route that makes its way to the Intracoastal Waterway. Par is 70, due to its half-dozen par 3s. But its very tight fairways and a lot of water keep it from being a breeze. You'll work your way around the course, especially from some gnarly back tees.
On two holes, you have to check for boat traffic before teeing off. Not many golf courses require that consideration.
The Harbor Course at Wild Dunes Resort is a short, quirky track that you'll remember for its chutzpa.
