Wedgefield Plantation Golf Club near Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
Just over a bridge from the south end of the Grand Strand, Wedgefield Plantation Golf Club in Georgetown has endured some rough times. But a new management group took over in 2010 and is making gains in restoring the course to its former glory. Golf Digest once listed it among the 15 best plays in South Carolina. As Wedgefield's Web site said, it's "an old course becoming new again."
