Plans Fourth Course

SUNSET BEACH, N.C. (SEPTEMBER 20, 2001) - Director of golf Tom Plankers has announced that Ocean Ridge Plantation is looking to add to its residential community that already includes three championship courses.

Production on a fourth course, as well as a practice facility and golf school are slated to begin in 2002. The new course will be located near Tiger's Eye and Panther's Run, which were both nominated for Best New Course in America by Golf Digest. The other course in the community is Lion's Paw.

"We are very excited about the plans for a fourth course and the upscale practice facility," said Plankers. "These additions will continue to enhance Ocean Ridge's growing reputation as one of the best golf facilities along the Grand Strand and throughout the southeast region."

Tim Cate will make the new course his seventh project. In addition to working on Panther's Run and Tiger Eye, he also designed The Players Club in Southport, N.C. and The Thistle Golf Club in Calabash, N.C.
