CHARLESTON, SC (JUNE 29, 2001) - The South Carolina Junior Golf Association is pleased to announce they have partnered with The Heritage Classic Foundation to compile and present the SC Junior Golfer Rankings.

The WORLDCOM CLASSIC Rankings will rank the top male and female players of South Carolina in over 100 national and statewide junior golf tournaments. The Heritage Classic Foundation, general sponsor of the WORLDCOM CLASSIC - The Heritage of Golf, is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization.

Dedicated to improving the lives of others, The Heritage Classic Foundation annually donates monies raised from the WORLDCOM CLASSIC.

The 2001 event raised a record $1 million dollars that will be awarded to local and statewide charitable organizations.

Founded in 1987, the Heritage Classic Foundation has generated over $8 million dollars in charitable donations.

The WORLDCOM CLASSIC Rankings are updated monthly and represent the player's accomplishments over the past year. The WORLDCOM CLASSIC Rankings are mailed out to College Coaches, High Schools, players, golf courses, and industry leaders.
