COLUMBIA, SC (APRIL 24, 2001) -- Columbia Country Club's Clem King and Robert Dargan fired a nine-under par 63 to win the 25th Pro-Amateur Club championship at Spring Valley Country Club in Columbia, SC.

The pair, who began with four birdies enroute to a front nine 30, won by a margin of four shots over three other teams.

"We got off to a good start," explained King, "We had good fortune today."

The defending champions, Pine Valley Country Club's team of Bob Boyd and Greg Norris, fired a 70.

This championship is conducted by the Carolinas Golf Association.
