Amateur Championship Set for April 10-11
Tournament marks inaugural CGA major held at course
WEST END, NC April 10-11 the Carolinas Golf Association will conduct the 3rd Carolinas Senior Womens Amateur Championship at Bryan Park GC (Champions Course) in Browns Summit, NC.
This will be the first CGA major ever staged at Bryan Park which recently completed an extensive renovation project.
In 2000, Cynthia Curry from Charlotte captured the Carolinas Senior Womens title at Carolina Trace G&CC (Lake Course) in Sanford, NC. The 1996 NC Senior Womens champion battled strong winds to post a two-stroke victory over Clate Aydlett of Elizabeth City, North Carolina.
Lynn Roloff of Winston-Salem, NC, set the tournament scoring record in 1999 when she posted a 154 total at Deercroft GC in Wagram, North Carolina.
The Carolinas Senior Womens Championship is a 36-hole, stroke play event open to ladies age 50 and over. There is no maximum index requirement.
