Hilton Head Golf Destination Guide

Hilton Head Golf Transportation

There is an airport located on Hilton Head Island. However, Hilton Head Island Airport only receives US Airways flights from Charlotte, so you'll probably have to head to Charleston International Airport. Charleston International has daily flights from US Airways, Continental, Delta, Northwest and United Airlines. A taxi ride is probably out of the question because it's at least an hour drive south to Hilton Head. There are the usual car and limousine rental counters at Charleston International.

If you are driving to Hilton Head, you'll probably end up taking either I-95 or I-16. If you're coming from the west you can take I-16 from Atlanta. Interstate 95 runs along the eastern Seaboard from Miami to Philadelphia and gets you within a short drive to Hilton Head Island.
