CHARLESTON, S.C. (Sept. 9, 2002) - It appears that the Holy City is no longer content to play second fiddle to Hilton Head's symphony of private golf facilities. Resort golf put Charleston on the national radar screen, but a handful of ultra exclusive golf communities with world beater layouts designed by marquee names like Mike Strantz, Rees Jones, Tom Watson and Tom Fazio are narrowing the gap between these two Lowcountry capitals of second home living.
