Not ideal
I check on this course every few years or so. Still the same old horse pasture it has always been. Staff is always extremely friendly and helpful. No range balls, sand all over the greens, and multiple fivesomes (yes, 5) taking 20+ minutes per hole on a Saturday. Played 12 holes in 4 hours before we left. Course should be charging around $20-25 given all of the above, but definitely not worth the $35-40
Terrible!
They just aerated the greens so they were putting on sand. They started at 12:45 and they had a five some in front of us a foursome in front of them. I want some behind them in front of us and we were paired up with a foursome, and then a twosome behind us on a Saturday that is ridiculous. We played a three hour front nine and had to call it quits or would be there till 7 PM which is ridiculous look elsewhere.
Barely any greens
Fairways and tee boxes were in decent shape. Greens were very firm and some weren’t even green yet. Good course with a decent layout though. Will go back this summer when it’s in better shape
Old, Very Old
The clubhouse is ancient and the downstairs smells like someone died. The fairways are very nice and the course plays fair until the greens. There isn’t a single partially level green in the course. You would think it was a mountainous area when you reach the green.
Waste of time
My girlfriend and I played and I won’t ever do that again. First off it was my girlfriend’s first time playing so I made a later in the day tee time. If someone caught as we would let them play thought. On the 10th hole a older man comes up on his cart and says they have a tournament starting and we would have to play faster. If I’d of known about a tournament we would of played somewhere else. Who starts a tournament in the middle of the afternoon on a Sunday? Fairways was like hitting off concrete. Tee box’s where very uneven and in bad shape.
Cool practice course. Not worth the price
Too expensive given the quality of greens/fairways being very spotty/not well maintained.
Needs upgrades
1st time playing, new to area, clubhouse needs to be demolished- old and musky, course layout is great and for a country course it is long with very undulating greens but could need a click up on the speed but the greens were in the best condition of all, some elevation changes - par 3s are the most difficult to score on! Bunkers need help also, but I’m not in them enough to care too much (it’s a penalty regardless).
With new clientele coming in to the area it would benefit the course management to do improvements and use some weed control in FWs - dandelions and crabgrass everywhere…. I constantly had to move the ball around to find real grass(in the FW)
