Very Good Value
Greens are excellent for this time of year and weather conditions. Fairways still somewhat dormant, should green up nicely in coming days. Staff and other players extremely helpful/polite and genuinely interested in your opinion.
Fun and challenging
This course is a challenge you have to play smart but it is fun and rewarding.
Very nice!
We loved this course! It's well maintained, friendly staff, and different. It's different for us because most holes are either up hill, down hill, or both. We are used to mostly flat courses. I would live on this course if I could afford it! We can't wait to come play in the summer and see how beautiful it will be. We also liked the atmosphere the other folders created here. They were courteous and not rude. We have been to other courses like Boscobel in Anderson,SC that we were keeping the pace of play...couldn't go any faster because other players were in front of us...and had someone mouth to us twice that we needed to play faster. This course obviously had higher class and more laid back golfers.
Course was very wet (rained day before), but the course was in good shape.
This course has always been challenging for the group of seniors guys that I play with. Our guys enjoyed the outing, as it tested our skills.
great views and good greens too
Played a lot if courses and I will definitely remember this one. Great views and greens, fairways in real good shape too.
The course was in Great Shape. The greens were especially well kept and very tricky. Very fast downhill putts.
The course was in excellent shape. The fairways were excellent and the greens very tricky. It is an excellent example of mountain golf. Follow the course directions provided and you will do well. Get too aggressive and the course will punish you. It is advisable to try to stay below the hole on approach shots. I enjoyed the course very much and the staff could not have been any friendlier.
EXCELLENT!!!!!
Will play again...Welcomed me with a list of tips off each book and a nice green overlook book. Very receptive greens and plush fairways. Tee boxes were excellent as well. Only ting that needs work are the bunkers. Tremendous views. FYI.......BRING BALLS!!!!!! LOL.
Challenging course
The course is challenging but very well maintained. #17 is a par 3 across the water. You are either a hero or a zero on this hole. Give it a try.
Hilly, very hilly, but fun
The pro shop attendant got us out on the course in a timely manner and right away we knew that this course was going to challenge us, not in length, but in uphill and downhill lies. The fairways were decent, with woolly rough along the edges. Some holes had hidden landing areas so it was easy for first-time visitors to unknowingly hit through the fairway. Three of the par 3's are over water but are very nice holes. The greens were receptive to approach shots that checked up pretty good but the greens were a bit furry and took a little while to get used to. Some of the greens at the top of the hills had nasty slopes towards the front and short approach shots on the green tended to roll backwards to the front fringe. Water hazards on narrow fairways doubled the difficulty on a couple of holes. A par on the home hole should bring you back. We got on for a very good price which made this course well worth playing.
Worth the Drive!!
This course was 45 minutes outside Greenville, but worth the drive. Very hilly and narrow fairways, makes for a challenging round. You have to place your shots to score well. Staff was super friendly, and value for the money was outstanding. A must play.
must play
great course, great challange, great prices...its a must play again
Great conditions, unique layout.
The course was in great condition. They put out a basket of fresh apples on the first tee, nice touch! Was a sort-of rolling layout - challeging form the back tees, but enjoyable from the middle or front. I highly recommend this course!
