Tega Cay Golf Club - The Grande View
About
Tega Cay Golf Club is surrounded by Lake Wylie, its name even means "beautiful peninsula" in Polynesian. Despite the secluded setting, the club is only minutes from Charlotte and Rock Hill. The club is distinct for being the area's only 27-hole facility. The holes are divided into three nines that can be played in different 18-hole combinations. The Grande View Course is the longest of the three nines at 3,276 yards and it is also considered the most challenging. This nine is the most popular, the finishing hole was even voted the "favorite 18th hole in the Charlotte Area" by listeners of the local radio station. As its name implies, Grande View is characterized by its stunning hilly landscape. From the golf course's elevations, the views stretch across lush meadows and wooded hills.

Golf with my son
Great course, look forward to going back. Was disappointed that my son and I couldn't enjoy the course without being paired with two others, hopefully next time we'll have our time.
beautiful course
Played white tees, which offered a mild challenge and a fun experience. The course is in great condition from tee to green. The condition and shape and size of the greens is perfect, making putting a breeze.
Few water elements. Multiple elevation changes.
Pace is slow, and I went at lunch time on a Wednesday...
No bev cart that day.
Tega Cay was great!
Tega Cay Carolina Pines/Grandview is great! Had a perfect day and the course is in excellent shape...tee boxes, fairways, and greens are all in top condition.
Another great day at Tega Cay!
won $4.00 n a skins game, greens and fairways great shape
Fun course in great shape
Course is in great shape. Staff are amazing as are facilities. One of my favorite courses in the area.
York County played golf Sunday at Tega Cay
Beautiful day, good company, good course conditions. Unfortunately, it took 3 hrs 45 min to play 9 holes. Pace of play was not slow groups, rather, overbooking course.
Awesome course
This course is very well maintained and great for the price. Loved the back 9!
Golf on Oct. 17th.
Great course and fairly easy. However, they need to improve the tees for the ladies. I could not find several of the red tees for teeing off. Good course. Also, please put up a sign where to turn in the golf carts!!!
course features
fairways/greens are in great shape. greens fast, with a lot of undulation
Nice
Great course great conditions but slow play 5+ hr round
Always a challenging course, great shape!
Greens are in great shape witg good speed right now and fairways plush. Always fun and challenging to play here from all tee's...My home course! If they invest a few bucks on the course for some color, landscaping, flowers and a few blooming trees it will stand out alone. Need to bring a tour here and invest in the community. It has the potential, parking and clubhouse!
Always a good time at Tega Cay
This course is really nice and challenging. The front (Carolina Pines) give you fair play with no force carries. The back on the other hand (Grand View) has two number 10 and 18 in my opinion, but they are fair. The greens are quick and pin placements aren't crazy. Overall I have a good round every time I play here.
not your flat course
I really enjoy this course because of the elevation changes. The challenges come from side to side and up and down. Lot of fun.
The staff is as friendly as you will find anywhere, and the course has always been in great shape. Tight fairways, long thick rough and smooth rolling greens.
We'll come back to Tega Cay
Nice day of golf...we played the Pines and the Grand View courses. Paired ourselves us with a Dad and his son as the play was really slow. The group ahead were locals and friends of the marshall...he didn't want to hurry them along. The other downer was no one at the bag drop. We were on our own to find the pro shop and load bags. The starter was really helpful in giving course information. Course is in good shape. Greens fast. Recommended-weekday play would probably be better.
Had not played Tega Cay in about 15 years...
I was pleasantly surprised and condition of the course as well as the new facility! I look forward to giving it another go when I get the opportunity.
Little gem close to Charlotte
Had a great time. A little course knowledge is needed however. Hitting driver off the tee on many holes is not prudent. Buying the yardage book at the clubhouse or playing with someone who is familiar with the layout is crucial, especially on the back 9.
can't beat it
price was right staff was friendly and the course was in great condition I want to play it again
Fabulous Improvements Here
Tega Cay has become very popular since its new mini-verdi greens have come into their own. The course is responding to increased play by re-investing. Staff has increased substantially. Rangers are very good and nice at keeping pace of play moving. Practice tee has new equipment and all new balls. The new green superintendent has carved many landing areas near the greens which improves not only play-ability but appearance. Lies are nice in the fairways and the tees are in good condition. I have been playing here for five years and particularly impressed this year with the improvements. Casual Water restaurant food is very good and even has sushi in the fine dining area. Service could stand some improvement but that's about the only negative thing I can say. Come on out. You'll love this course.
Fine Course
This is a course you want to ride. The hill are long and all over the course. It plays really well and is a challenge. The food is very good.
Club rental
If renting clubs, especially LH clubs, make sure all clubs are truly LH. Had problem with RH putter in the only set they had available.
