Blessed with a unusually rolling terrain, Coosaw Creek has a beautiful woodland setting not seen elsewhere in the Lowcountry. This course offers a fun and fair game for the novice, while challenging the more experienced golfer with a variety of longer drives, undulating greens, and strategically placed bunkers and water hazards.

I'd play it again

I was looking for a decent track near the airport and Coosaw Creek fit the bill. It's a really nice facility with a good practice range and comfortable clubhouse.
I wouldn't say the course layout was stunning, but it was solid. The fairways were in great shape as were most of the greens, although there were a few greens that were on life support. The par 3 15th green was almost unplayable. The short par 4 finishing hole was a bit underwhelming, but there were several holes with personality that I would like to play again, now that I understand the dynamic.
If you're visiting Charleston and need a good course on arrival or departure day with easy airport access, put Coosaw on your list.

Not a great experience

So you pay $60 for green fees... Spend another $30 or so on drinks and snacks... What do you get? A GPS which tells you to pick up the pace, keep up with the group ahead... While you are standing there waiting on the group ahead... Then a Marshall comes out, asking you to skip # 10 to speed up play... Really? Played in 4 1/2 hours on a Saturday morning which seems average... Way to mess up a great day for what can be a great course.

Great hidden gem!

Course layout is great. New carts with GPS were awesome, best around. Pace of play was fantastic. Greens were just resurfaced so still need to grow-in. My group plays when we receive their online specials. Definitely worth signing up for emails as they send out frequent promotions for non-peak play. And they have one of the few golf shops that carries clubs and lots of good merchandise. Club is member owned and you can tell with all of the improvements they've made. Range has new mats that are like hitting off of real grass. 5 stars for me!

Coosaw Creek Review

THIS is, all in all a good golf course, however, the money that they ask is high enough to put them with the much more elite golf courses in the area, which it's not.
