Myrtle Beach National Golf Club - King's North Course
About
For years, the King's North Course at Myrtle Beach National has been the most requested and best recognized golf course on the Grand Strand. The par-3, third hole with its island green and South Carolina-shaped sandtraps has become the signature hole for Myrtle Beach. King's North features some dramatic and unique holes. The par-5 sixth hole is nicknamed "The Gambler" and features an unusual island fairway which offers golfers a risk-reward short-cut to the green for a chance at eagle. The 18th hole, nicknamed "The Bull's-eye" by Golf Magazine, is a sight to behold. More than 40 sandtraps guard either side of the fairway and the green reaches out into a lake offering, at times, a very tempting pin placement.

Nice course
Played the north Course had a good time, condition not as good as a few others we played but would play it again
Worth the play.
Course is a good track and in great shape. Heavy rain the night before made it cart path only for the morning rounds. Definately play it again. Don't miss the hot dog bar .
Nice course design
Played in early May. Beautiful weather, course conditions was just average, lots of dead grass and dirt spots.
Over priced under delivered
The staff and the amenities do not match the price.
My favourite in Myrtle Beach, and I played a lot of the courses
Everything was perfect
It’s rare to have that quality at that price
I felt the southern hospitality all day long
It’s now a must for my future trip to Myrtle Beach
Thank you t the team
Very busy slow pace
Decent course very busy slow pace of play Nice staff
Beautiful course in great condition
Loved the course but when I inquired about the pace of play I was told it would be less than 4.5 hours. It was actually 5hrs and 22 minutes and I never saw anyone trying to speed up the large group of Texans in front of us that thought they were in the Masters.
Hopefully a one time disappointment.
Played at 1pm and unfortunately we saw too much of the cart girl and not enough of the course marshals. Always difficult to have a good experience when playing a 5 hour and 50 minute round.
Course layout is great but the condition was 7/10. Being honest, a good play if you play early morning and the green fee is approx. $60.
King North
Kings NorthFrom the moment we arrived at Kings North in Myrtle Beach, it was evident that we were in for a memorable day of golf. The weather was impeccable, setting the stage for an enjoyable round. The staff greeted us warmly and their attentive service added to the positive experience.Initially unaware that there were three courses available, we found ourselves playing Kings North upon recommendation from the shop attendant. We were informed that it was the most challenging of the trio, which intrigued us.Before teeing off, we took advantage of the facilities, warming up at the range which was well-maintained. The putting and chipping greens were also in excellent condition, allowing us to fine-tune our short game before heading out.As we navigated through the North course, its reputation for difficulty became apparent. Despite the challenges, the course was impeccably designed, with pristine fairways and greens that were a joy to play on. The layout provided a fair test of skill, with strategic bunkers and water hazards keeping us on our toes.Although I managed to shoot an 89, there were a couple of holes that proved particularly challenging. However, these difficulties only added to the overall satisfaction of conquering the course. One minor gripe was the presence of aggressive squirrels, which occasionally disrupted our focus. However, this did little to detract from the overall enjoyment of the round. In conclusion, Kings North at Myrtle Beach is undoubtedly one of the finest courses I've had the pleasure of playing. Its challenging layout, coupled with impeccable course conditions and attentive staff, make it a must-visit destination for golf enthusiasts. While it may not surpass the grandeur of Yocha Del Golf Club, it certainly comes close, earning its place among the top-tier courses in my golfing experiences.
Very Enjoyable
First time playing Kings North and I’m glad I did. Conditions were very good…the greens were smooth, the fairways were firm and not at all bare. I wish the greens held approach shots a little better but nothing to complain about. The pro shop was nice and the staff was also. A nice experience overall.
Great conditions
Tough course for duffers like me. Lots of sand. Great conditions. A bit slow. 109 tee time and barely finished before dark
Need to play course
Kings North what a great course layout. Conditions were great except greens were very slow. Needs improvement there.
