The Harbor Town Golf Links is one of three 18-hole courses at the Sea Pines Resort. It is constantly ranked one of the best courses in the area and in the U.S. Pete Dye, with help from Jack Nicklaus, who designed the course and it is touted as one of his finest courses. The par-71 course covers 6,973 yards of flat terrain. Harbor Town's sloping greens are small and covered in Tif Eagle grass.

There are several challenging par 3s but the signature hole of the golf course is a tricky par 4. The infamous 18th hole is 458 yards that require a long tee shot towards the lighthouse. The breeze from the Calibogue Sound is definitely a factor in the difficulty of the hole.

Harbour Town is one of the best-designed courses you will ever play. Choose your tees based on the slope, not the length, and your round should be much better. To score well, you will need to be accurate, as the fairways demand you to play the ball to the correct side. Approach shots are the most crucial part of scoring well. The greens are tiny, and hazards are always near. Listen to your forecaddies' advice, and don't forget to look around you, especially on the finishing holes as you complete your day.
