Ocean Creek Golf Club at Fripp Island Resort

Ocean Creek Golf Club at Fripp Island Resort was Davis Love III's first design project, and was a solid sign of things to come from the champion golfer. As the course's name implies, water will be a constant companion during the 18-hole trip around Ocean Creek.

"There is quite a bit of water on the course-probably not as much as its sister course (Ocean Point), but the lost ball potential on Ocean Creek is just as high," said TravelGolf.com writer Jeffrey A. Rendell. "And whereas Ocean Point emphasizes ocean views, you'll get tidal marsh views at Ocean Creek."

Still, while water is everywhere, Love designed the course to be driver friendly, creating a course that's easy on the eyes and playable for a wide variety of handicaps.
