Diamond in the rough
Great course that is a nice challenge for all golfers. It’s set in the trees out in the country with a small pro shop.the electric golf carts are excellent. The snack bar has a great lady Faye who makes a great sandwich and is so sweet. The key attraction is the perfect lighting fast undulating greens if ya can’t putt well ya better learn they are quick. Only problem I had was fifth the yardage markers and was confused on a few holes as to where the next tee box was. They need to mark the 100 150 and 200 yards from the green on the cart paths I waisted a good 30 minutes in looking for yard markers on the course. I would give it a overall 4 star with a 10 star for the greens.
Can’t wsit to play again .
Rolling Greens!
My group of foursomes was amazing to play with, the course layout is perfect for someone who loves to work the ball in both directions. Elevation change was also playing a factor on 70% of the holes which play even more a factor in thinking of your shots and the GREENS! Let me tell you what! The course name really puts the name on their greens. Freshly new diamond Zosia Greens that are in pristine condition. Couldn’t have asked for better greens. Only issue we had was the tee boxes were close to nothing, hitting on dirt. Which threw us for a loop for the condition overall for the course. Get out there and play it! I promise you will be challenged and enjoy your day, and to play on a HotNow deal for $20 w/cart included. That’s a steal! Play well!
GREENS!
What a course to play for the price! Absolutely awesome layout, up and down, and around and to talk about the GREENS! Absolutely awesome! All we talked about was how awesome the greens were. Rolling Greens really sticks to its name!
Great for the $
If you want a fairly wide open tract with fast greens, go here! If you are a beginning golfer and don't want to lose too many balls, go here! If you want to play at an elite, country club.... go pay $65+ somewhere else!
Really done a LOT of work on the greens in recent years and the hardwork is paying off. This is a weekly favorite for my tune ups!
Rolling Greens
Conditions of greens and fairways were in pretty good shape for this time of the year. Course had wide fairways on almost every hole layout was a little difficult to follow for a first time play. Greens putted pretty smooth with consistent speed from green to green.
The cart paths are in need of attention. The carts are old and out dated. For the money it's not worth it. Other nicer courses to pay in the area for same money.
Avoid at all costs
I realize that one review doesn’t mean a lot but I will explain what happened and leave it up to everyone to decide if you would want to deal with this.
We got to the course and it started raining, it was an unusually cold day for the time of year but we tried to tee off anyway, Even after some hail, we tried to play but after having carts with no covers for your clubs and standing water on the greens, we decided it was time to leave.
While trying to get a rain check we were told that because we booked through golf now, the course was not getting “paid” for this round so they could not give us a rain check. GolfNow would need to give a rain check but the course wasn’t officially closed. Even though it was unplayable we were told we could wait it out...
After trying to figure out how to get a refund from golfnow we decided to go out. What a disaster. If the course shouldn’t have been closed due to weather, it should be closed due to conditions. Only 3 of the 18 holes had actual grass on the fairways: the tee boxes weren’t much better and in some cases worse:
So overall, I’ll never go back and I don’t understand why we couldn’t have just got a rain check in the first place. Never again!!
Good, not too challenging
Good course, not much water in play. Tee boxes clearly marked. Almost no yardage markers to be seen. Could use a few more rakes and golfers that use the rakes that are there. Will definitely be back.
Give it a shot!
This is a 27 hole course. Holes 1-18 have new greens. Not sure the type of grass but very course. It makes them a little slower to play than I am use to, but putts so true. This course's name is on point. There are some subtle breaks that will make you scratch your head. Some false fronts will also surprise you should you take your eyes off of your ball before it comes to a stop. There has been times my jaw has dropped as I pull up to the green to find my ball off the green after hitting a beautiful shot.
Play it!
They have done great work on the first 18 greens. This is a 27 hole course. And all 27 holes are worth playing in the same round, but have only replaced the first 18 greens. They are immaculate! They are slow, but in amazing shape. It's a really great course to play. Some holes are short, some are long, but when you are done you feel like you have played a unique course. It's not a course where you drive, approach and chip/putt. Each shot is different. Play and enjoy!
Good choice !
Like the layout , plus it’s 27 holes. Play one back 9 this time and the other the next time !!!! Good choice !
Hidden gem out in the country
Pros: Friendly staff, holes #2 through # 8 (Pinehurst-esque?), most greens in mint condition, most fairways in good condition, mountain views from # 15 fairway through # 17 fairway, family owned and operated.
Cons: Conditions of sand-like traps, no water stations on course.
Lot to be desired
Well I got to the course and the parking lot is almost full that told me it was going to be a bad round and I Was right. They just set off 32 guys in a large group just before I got there plus others that were coming in and that book tee times. The owner was very nice man and the course was not in bad shape. I received the bucket of balls that had a bunch of split balls in the basket . The pace of play was terrible you had to wait at each hole for upwards to five to 10 minutes at a times only played nine holes and I quit because it already at three hours .
Rolling Greens Are A'Changin
Bill, Ken, and I met at Rolling Greens to play today. They are replacing their bent grass greens with zoysia and have finished the first two nines. The new greens were a little slow, but they were beautiful. We played the final nine with a mixture of bent grass and zoysia and had a little trouble finding the pace of putts. All in all, I think the change will improve the course. I love the last three holes on the third nine. They really challenge you to "grip it and rip it". Rolling Greens has the best hotdogs around.
Cheap wide open course
First time playing here. The fairways were pretty wide open. I played 9 and started on hole 10. The 16th or 17th hole tee box was pretty much bare ground. The guy checking people in was super nice and other than the threesome behind us the course was empty on a Saturday evening. I’d prob play here again for the price. Nothing special though.
Course Condition
My first time playing this course. I expected the condition to be better than what it was for this time of the year. The greens were in relatively decent shape, but could have been better. Holes 1 & 8 were closed due to the greens being under repair. I would not have booked the course had I known this in advanced. The tee boxes were horrendous, particularly on the par 3s. I was hitting off of dirt or dead grass on every box. I certainly would not recommend this course at this time.
