Pace of play was awful
Every time I go to this course I see 5 people playing together all over the place. This time I was behind 1 group of 5 and also a group of six. They never have a Marshall, so play is always backed up. All they are looking for is to make money. They could care less about how many people they put out on the course at a time. I can't say really anything bad about the course and that's the sad part. If it wasn't such a pain to play behind groups of 5 or 6 it would t be a bad course to play at all.
Quality golfing in Columbia
Thought about playing GC of South Carolina but reviews said it was in bad shape. Linrick was in good shape and good price for the money.
Good Course
Overall the course was in good conditions! Great value for the money and a good pace of play. Fairways are cut a little long than most places but still nice fairways. Rough is tough stay out of there. Very nice layout
Management needs work, course doesnt.
This course is one of the nicest I have played in the Columbia area. However, a group of 6 gentlemen in t shirts and Jean shorts were allowed to play together and slowed down my group of 3 tremendously. This is inexcusable. Please begin enforcing a proper dress code. Also, everyone and their mother knows that only 4 golfers should be allowed to play together at once. Please begin enforcing proper golf etiquette and rules that even courses not as nice as Linrick abide by.
Round
Round was slow. Threesome ahead.backed up whole course. Someone needs to marshal pace of play allow faster golfers to move through
LinRick
Would highly recommend playing. Great value, fair and challenging. Will play again.
Can get a better price at the course than through golf now.
LinRick
Course is in great condition, especially the greens. We played the back tees, which made the course a little more challenging. The staff was extremely polite and professional. The course is well kept and a great value for the money. I would highly recommend this course for players of all abilities.
Course in good shape!
Enjoyed round of golf, course was challenging, but not overwhelming. Will play again when I get a chance.
Secret Gem
A great layout and the course was in good shape. Greens rolled well. Great elevation changes on the back nine will make you use every club in the bag.
Would like to have a marshal out there to keep the pace flowing but otherwise a beautiful day.
Will repeat
GREAT course conditions. Very green and great greens. Will maybe be one of my favorite courses to golf now in Columbia.
Great value
Very fun layout and challenging to amateur golfer. Make sure you are under the pin, a lot of down hill putts if your not.
Hidden Gem!
We played on Monday and the course was not busy at all.We played in less than four hours. This course offers all the things an average and above average golfer desires.Very scenic, good layout, good greens, and fairways.Difficult to find unless you use gps,but worth the search.
Great course and great price
I thoroughly enjoyed playing this course; very balanced amounts of water, tree, and sand hazards. I will definitely play here again.
Hidden Gem!
Always in great shape! Greens are rolling better than they have in the past.
Awesome Course
Great course. Best public course you will find in Columbia. Always in great shape. Other than the somewhat terrible golfers that are extremely slow its a great course and challenging back 9.
Best kept secret in Columbia
Course is always in great condition. Superb and challenging layout. Several signature holes. Always a great golfing experience.
Terrible staff
Showed up at 12pm, guy working in pro shop was very rude, said we couldn't play and couldn't get our money back. He said since the weather was bad he was about to close and did not care that we pre paid, told us it wasn't his problem. If he hates his job so much he should quit. I will never play here again simply because or him.
From Upstate SC
Very Challenging for a public course and well maintained... I Would definitely recommend checking it out....Yes, Par 73....
