Challenging layout
it was cart path only and we did a lot of walking. The greens were in great shape but difficult to read. Expect to have a higher score if you have not played here before.
Nice Layout, Good Condition, Bad Sand Traps
Played on a Tuesday morning and course was pretty busy, but play was quick. 1 foursome let us play through. Sand traps were awful (some unplayable) probably due to lots of rain. Greens were in great condition, held iron shots well and rolled true. Very undulating made them challenging, which I liked. 1 guy behind the counter didn’t have much to say. Overall, good value. I will play again, for sure.
"Par for the course"
Excellence us just the standard at Linrick. Despite rainy weather several days before, the course was excellent. Fairways mowed just right and greens resilient enough to handle the wear and tear. I always tip my hat to the staff for keeping this place outstanding. If they built a bigger clubhouse and charged twice as much to play, it would still be a bargain.
5-somes slowing everyone up!?!??
Everything about the course was decent except for the fact that they let a fivesome go out first and it truly slowed the hole course down. It took almost 5 hours to play! A round here should be 4 hours max. Terrible waiting 15-20 minutes between shots sometimes. Need to speed pace of play up for sure.
Good Conditions
Greens and fairways are in good shape. This is a County course that is kept in remarkable good shape. Get very far off the fairways can be challenging. I’ve played it many times and it’s always a good course for a reasonable price.
Great course so worth the hot deals that are offered on golfnow
Great public course
Linrick has an interesting layout and a challenging back nine. Great value and conditions for a public course.
Barbara & Bruce Lexington
My wife and I travel in our motorhome and play golf as much as we can in different states and cities. We were camping in Lexington and the weather was perfect the day we played golf at LinRick Golf Course. The course was in excellent condition. The green were very fast and you needed to keep the ball under the hole, traps were in great shape and easy to get out of. The staff was very helpful. I would highly recommend playing LinRick Golf Course if you are in the Lexington area, great course and a great Hot Deal value.
GREAT CONDITION
Fairways and greens in wonderful condition. All greens cut the same and roll true. Will definitely be back.
Linrik
Course is back in pretty good shape. With the valleys and what not water and thunderstorms can make it a swamp at times. the traps on 1 etc had no sand and were mud puddles, but others not so much. They where like cartpath hard, and should have been marked as ground under repair. They do as good as you can do, with a course designed like this, with a limited budget. It will always be worth the money, albeit I wish they knew golf so they would give you relief and what not from silly situations.
Good Time.
My group enjoyed our round at LinRick. Greens are back in shape. This is a reliable course for the price. Well maintained despite being a County Course. Gives a variety of holes. In some places off the fairway conditions can be rough. I have played there regularly and enjoy it.
