This is hands down the worst golf course I have ever played. The grass hasnt been cut in 2 months, first hole didn't even have a cup, just a hole in the ground (no flag). There was weeds a foot tall in the middle of the fairway. The course is not playable and should not even be listed by golfnow. The course looks like it used to be nice and they just stopped taking care of the course 2 years ago. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!

This course is now in bankruptcy and has not been maintained in many months! Please remove it from the list of available courses. It doesn't even resemble a golf course!

Do not waste your time or money!!!!
This course is in awful condition. You cannot find your ball for the weeds!! There is very little grass if any at all. The fairway consists mostly of clover and weeds. The greens should be called browns. As they are dead grass and bare sand. It is hard to believe that they bothered to put down a fertilizer since it was never watered in. Do not waste your time or money. It was a nice course years ago. Now it has gone to seed.

Course condition has declined rapidly. Very little grass, weeds , sand and ants
You get what you pay for...
The course is in foreclosure and the bank is starting to make repairs. Management does a nice job with the pro shop and the food and drink at the Caddyshack Pub is outstanding. Would love to see this course in good shape.
Don't play this course!
We booked this course with out doing much research. That was a mistake. It is the worst course that I have ever played. The fairways are basically unmowed weeds and the green are dead grass and sand. If it was free it would not be worth it.
Bank owned, rough shape
This course has experienced some obvious financial difficulties. It won't be what you are used to even from a beloe average condition you may have played before. But If you want to get out for a quick 9 holes and can look past the weeds and sand greens, it may be worth your time. Just know what you're getting into.
Don't waste your time or money
I golfed this course 3 years ago and it was decent. I went today and it was the worst golf course and greens I ever played on.
Poor choice
Probably the worst course I have ever played on. Minimal grass on the fairways, virtually no grass on the greens. The course layout is good and with some work could be a very nice challenge
Try somewhere else
The course is in horrible condition and it looks as if no money has been spent on even the most basic of maintenance. Too bad, because it could be a fun 9 hole course. By the way, watch out for the alligators.
The course is disgraceful
The owners of this course should not in good conscience charge anyone to play it. It is difficult to find any live grass on the course. The fairways are weed infested and the "greens" (really "browns") are sand areas with some dead brown grass in spots. The weeds and indentations in the fairway make it very difficult to hit clean shots.
I hate to be critical but I feel duty bound to provide this review to give some warning to other golfers who might be tempted to pay money to play this course.
Avoid this Course
To call this facility a golf course is a joke. The "greens" are a dried up patch of earth. From tee to green is nothing but weeds and dead grass. This facility should be removed from Golfnow's listing.
what happened?
I know it's been a while since I played there, but old Carolina is now 9 holes and should be zero. There is jo did defence between teen rough and dairway. A sad development for what used to be a great course.
Good value but conditions fit
Course is in terrible shape... Ants everywhere and greens are almost non puttable
AWFUL!!!
Played this years ago and it was nice. This time it is brown!! No green in sight even on the "greens" Very disappointed, will never go back! Paid for 18, only played 9 because it was so bad.
Never Again!
Don't waste your time or money. There are many more better courses to play. Course was in horrible condition.
