Cobb's Glen Country Club
About
Cobb's Glen Country Club is named after its designer, George Cobb, a Georgia native who lived in Greenville most of his life. He designed many golf courses in the South, including the par-3 course at Augusta National. The golf course sprawls across rolling terrain blanketed with mature forests. Opened in 1976, the layout may be more traditional than modern golf courses but it still presents one of the area's most formidable challenges. The course has hosted a variety of events over the years including the U.S. Open Qualifier and the South Carolina Amateur Championship. There are 90 bunkers strategically placed throughout, and the greens are lightning fast. The 11th is one of the most memorable holes. This par 3 plays over water to a triple-tiered green that is flanked by three bunkers on the right, one for each tier.

Bunkers need some daily tlc and they need a truck load of sand for each. Old saying of don't hit in em and you don't have to hit out of em should be abolished. Bunkers are supposed to be sandy. It's unfair to try to hit a bunker shot out of hard dirt.
Enjoyable
Very playable course, decent layout, greens a little lumpy but otherwise good condition. The usual cart path disease that plagues many courses. A little pricey for this time of year, like to see more friendly senior rates. We will play again if we can get a decent price.
Must Play Course
Was recommended by a golfer met at another course. Great suggestion. Only downside was having to play front 9 twice as there was an unforeseen problem and back 9 was closed for the day..
Course is tight and must keep the ball in play.
Greens were in excellent shape and very fast.
Course was very well maintained and staff very cordial and apologetic over back 9 being closed. Could have offered some compensation for having to play front twice. Will definitely go back and recommend to other golfers.
DB
Wet areas need to be roped off. Some tee boxes could be leveled and grassed. Good course will play again.
Good course, could be better.
Club house is a little dated, carts are gas powered but have an extremely convenient ball/club washer mounted on the side. (just need to drain the stinky dirty water out of it more often) Putting green is in great shape as well as the driving range. Cart paths are a Clint Eastwood movie...Good Bad and Ugly. Some areas have been well maintained while others are completely nonexistent. Tee boxes are kept nice, fairways are in great shape, bunkers are in much better shape than the last time I was here, and the greens are in great shape as well. They used to have a starter but I haven’t seen one in a few years. We were 20 minutes late teeing off because of groups taking their time. Staff is always friendly and appreciative of veterans. FYI, the 4th green is nothing but slope and is wonderfully frustrating...love the challenge!
Cobb's Glen
Course is in excellent condition greens roll true great place.
Great course
The greens at Cobbs are always in great condition. With the rains we have had and the fall temps the entire course is in a great solace and really enjoyable.
One of my all time favs!
Love playing here. Staff is awesome and friendly, Course is always in good shape even in the times the weather and Mom Nature aren't nice.
Highly recommend this course! Favorite Hole is #11!
Slowwwww play
My buddy and I got on #1 tee at our 9:42 time and there was a foursome just teeing off they wouldn’t let us go around and they took forever to play we left after 12 so RIDICULOUS!!!
3 from the edge
Fun course. A few holes had drainage problems. Greens were in good shape.
