Great option in the August/Aiken area

I was able to play both courses on this day (they are now called Jones and Cupp instead of Wisteria and Plantation). I really enjoyed the layouts and would be hard pressed to pick a favorite. I usually favor Rees Jones designs, but thoroughly enjoyed the Cupp as well. It is a private club so you will need to be invited, but if you ever are you absolutely should go.

Excellent Course!!

Played a tournament at this course and it was a bit hot but the course was in great shape. The layout is a challenge if you aren't hitting it well off the tee. If you are hitting a good tee ball then you can attack this course. There are a couple holes that are open but for the most part you should play safe so you can shoot a good store.

Good facility, fun design

Nice community and good facilitiies. Played the Plantation course. Homes line both sides of many fairways, but we were never in danger of being OB, as the fairways are generous. Very nice design with pretty visual backdrops (azaleas, bunkering) and smooth, sloping greens with collection areas. A second shot course, driving is fairly straightforward, but kidney shaped greens on a lot of holes require you to dial in on pin location and be on proper tier in order to score. Several holes that skirt the lake are beautiful. Was in good shape despite torrential rain the day before. Great work by grounds crew to get it back in very nice shape (especially bunkers). Both courses here and the unaffiliated Reserve Club next door are good layouts that don't disappoint.
