Lost their greens

Greens were atrocious. Combination of grass and dirt. Was grass there was on the greens was super slow. I heard excuses ranging from cool spring to too much rain. Other courses in the CSRA weren’t this bad so I call foul on the excuses. Tee boxes in serious disrepair too. One tee box had mushrooms growing on it. It’s a shame too because the layout is great.

Excellent condition

Excellent condition! The tee boxes are nice and flat. The greens were beautiful and soft. You really can tell they put some money into the coarse.

great renovation & redesign!

Owner & superintendent renovated and redesigned this 1991 Arthur Hills design in 2015-2016 and performed a miracle to bring this course back! Installed miniverde on grns and tifgrand on tees, aprons , and fairways. Softened and improved this championship course, and added so many fantastic improvements. This will be the best semi-private course in a 50 mile radius within a yr. A must play!

Not quite ready after major course work

This course was purchased by Jim Mcnair (owner of Aiken Golf Club) 2 years ago. He has completely redone all 18 holes at Cedar Creek with the back nine just opening back up in September. Unfortunately, it's not quite ready for play. It needs another 6 mos to a year to fully mature. Fairways still have bare spots and the greens are rather bumpy although they look nice. I would say that this course will be superb and one of the best in the area within a year or two. Now, however, I would not spend my money to play it in the current conditions.

many improvements

If you have asked about this place 2 years ago I would have told you to pass, the owners of the aiken golf club purchased this course and has been improving on it ever since. Much much better its almost there if there is any indication of how the course will be check out aiken golf club. Green are good and fairways. Very long course with many challenges
