Expensive but Fantastic

Course was in excellent conditions, particularly the greens. All of the holes were fun and “made sense”. Pace of play was unfortunately very slow. Would like to see grass driving range for the price of the round. Burger and chicken sandwich from the clubhouse restaurant were outstanding.

Wild Dunes

The pace of play was poor with what appeared to be a group of 8 ahead of us. The practice area was underwhelming. The lay out and course was great and very fun. Would love to play again with a better pace of play.

best public course in area after Kiawah courses

i play feb and march only and the 2 courses do not over seed with rye grass so entire rough and sides are dormant grass and dirt.
For $200 a round I am surprised .

17 and 18 are only holes you see the ocean and it is impressive.

Wild Dunes' cheaper course Harbor has alot more water views but more difficult

Always a treat

The course has evolved over time but still is fun to play. While it’s called a links course, anyone who has played a true American links course- think Pebble or Kiawah will be disappointed if they are expecting the same. The marshes, trees, elevation changes, wildlife (deer, eagles, gators…) and terrific course conditions make this a must play for golfers. The final 3 holes run along the sea and make it a scenic and challenging end to the round. The conversion of the finishing hole from a par 5 to a par 3 due to erosion will leave those who played the course in the past, wanting more. This course is very playable for every skill level, but very challenging. You have to hit it straight, avoid the trees and rough, and find small greens that roll true but can be tough to read. The course has begun to overseed , the greens were still excellent. Be sure to check with the pro shop when booking to ensure the fairways and greens are in good condition. The cost is on the high side, but it should give you the opportunity to enjoy a great course and create some lasting memories.

Great Course

This is an incredible course. The layout is challenging yet not crazy. Beautiful views and vistas. The last two holes along the ocean are breathtaking. Staff was very friendly and helpful. A great day on the golf course!

Fun track

Lots of notes about the fairways not being too good. I thought they were great! Not much on amenities, so be ready. No food at clubhouse, cart girl was great with beer/drinks and food. Guys in the clubhouse could care less. But, all in all, great lay out and a beautiful course.

Overhyped, overpriced

Despite advertised as a links cource, far from it. And given it's similarity to so many other courses, it did not compare well.
