Harbor at Wild Dunes Golf Links
About
Wild Dunes Harbor Course, designed by Tom Fazio, is said to be cut from some of the prettiest real estate in South Carolina. Water makes up a great deal of the Harbor Course layout. After all, half the course runs along the world’s longest water hazard, The Intracoastal Waterway. Fazio claims the Harbor Course to be one of his favorites. "Working on the Harbor Course was very satisfying to me as a designer because we had to create everything. It was a very challenging, and ultimately, a very satisfying project."

Nice but not great.
Courses along the water while on vacation are great, but as these things go, Harbor was ok.
Late July, the tee boxes were ragged, greens very slow, and sand bunkers and wash areas were pretty hard packed. The course did not offer a driving range (had to go down the street to a restricted distance patch). The clubhouse wasn’t notable. Golf carts were older.
We enjoyed our time, but this isn’t the Ocean Course, for sure.
Hotlanta Expectations
Short greens and way too many par 3’s
Course fairway in good condition but overgrown rough made it difficult if not impossible to find your ball. Marshall should have been more diligent on pace of play and outright rude golfers who intentionally hit down on us and instead of kicking them off the course after they were late for tee time and refused to join the 4 some additionally, according to the staff they were incredibly rude to the staff and disrespectful …other than that the staff was very pleasant.
Not worth the money
My opinion should be 25$ cheaper for the condition it was in.
expected better
decent track, but conditions on the harbor course are not nearly as nice as the links. Some real beat up greens, expected better for a resort course. Hot deal on golf now was a good value. it's tight in spots and half the greens are postage stamps. I wouldn't travel out of my way to play here, but I would for the the links course. If you are staying at wild dunes worth checking out once for the right price.
Great course
Awesome layout, great course all around, definitely puts your skills to the test with water/marsh on every hole. Got to see a baby gator and a big old monster, all around great course. Only downfall was only seen cart lady once for drinks during our round
Slim pickins
Not many courses to choose from in Folly beach.
Nice layout, scenic, good conditions.
Friendly staff, would play again.
A little pricey but what isn’t these days.
From a local
The course and facility is first rate. My only critic and this is a constant. The halfway house is always closed. Bring your own lunch.
Dunes Harbor course
Tough course - water on 16 of the 18 holes. Lot of undulations that guide running golf balls into hazards. Course is very tight - need to bring your A game.
Overpriced
Average course with nice scenery. No cart path from hole 10-11. Got carts stuck in deep sand and had to push them out.
Had an excellent time playing with folks I had not met before. The weather was perfect and that lent to having a good time also. The course was not in the same condition that it was the last time I played it. That said I would play it again.
