Great layout
Beautiful course! Staff very friendly! Course was in good shape. Greens were very good, but a little on the slow side. Fairways were good, rough basically native grasses. Pace of play very good. Good value for your money. I will definitely play here again!!
Absolutely Amazing!!
A truly amazing find! As an organizer for a golf group in the Charleston, SC, area, we work with many golf courses up and down the SC coast.
I cannot express enough what a great experience it is working with the Wedgefield staff and playing this fun course. The course is fun and challenging and the staff is truly the best you will find anywhere!! The customer service, from the top down, is unrivaled! From the moment we pulled up, staff were there to greet us with a smile (actually IN the parking lot), began unloading our golf clubs, had our carts assigned, names on carts, lined up, and ready to go, even though we were late in getting our information to them the evening before. The Pro even managed to get my group out (with six groups) all at the same time so we could finish up in time for lunch, which was a blessing in 100° heat! He then even came out to check on us on the course, greeting everyone with a smile!
The pub is a very cool space, comfortable, and welcoming. They treated us and accommodated us like we were family.
As an organizer, they made me look good! We will be going back as often as we can to play this course. It truly is a hidden gem!

Nice course,but……
The facilities are very nice, great staff, and the course has a great layout and fun to play. My only complaint was, we had to stop after 9 holes because of the mosquitoes. I mean they were swarming and the gentleman who placed our bags on the carts did warned us about the problem. I do understand there is nothing you can really do to remedy the insect problem. More of a heads up for others who may have serious reactions.
Excellent Greens
Great Value - greens are very good. The course has some really cool holes. Look forward to playing again!
Low Country golf
Great track and even better staff. Great low country golf.
Worst Golf Course I have ever played.
I walked off the course and 8 holes.
The Putting Greens are Grass-Less.
You will enjoy yourself more if you play Golf on the Asphalt in the Streets
Off the beaten path
If you want to play somewhere off the beaten path and away from the jammed Grand Strand golf courses, this one is a bit of a drive but well worth it. Plenty of water on the front nine to make things interesting. As others have said the course is slowly getting back into shape and once a little more work is done this will be an excellent course. Staff was very pleasurable and we would come back to play this course again. We were met almost immediately when we pulled in and greeted with a golf cart right at our car to load up our stuff. No searching around or hunting for a cart or where to go when we got there. That was a wonderful thing right off the bat! Thanks for a great time overall!
