Skybrook Golf Club

Course is improving since the Carolina Golf Trail. Greens and tee boxes in much better shape and putted/played very well. Fairways were garbage so be prepared to roll the ball to get a decent lie.

Paid 35 and that's about right for this course. Still needs time to get back to stellar conditions.

The course was in good condition for the most part. I really like this course with the elevation changes and overall design but the fairways on several holes need some major work. The greens were in good condition. The pace of play was excellent - but that may have due to the Coca Cola 600 running the same day. For a Hot Deal this was worth the price. I was hoping the course would've been in much better condition. It's much better than Highland Creek but these courses are under different management now. I would be disappointed if I were a member since the monthly fee does not include cart.

The staff always make you feel welcome when you arrive at the course.

The fact that I was immediately met by a member who brought a cart to my car and loaded my clubs on the cart for me set the tone for a very good golf experience. The course was good - a few spots in the fairway with standing water and mud but overall fairway and rough conditions were good especially for early in the year. The greens were in good condition - again a couple of spots with patches and conflicting views grass patterns, but all-in-all, the ball rolled when I putted instead of bouncing.

Good course, I would play it again.

This is such a great layout. It is a shame to see the condition of the fairway in such a disastrous state. The green roll well and the layout is fantastic. The fairways are unplayable. We spent the round moving tee shots hit down the middle of the fairways as much as 20 feet to find any grass to hit off. These were not dormant fairways, they were huge areas of dirt. I hope they can get it repaired. I would love to play this course every time I'm in Charlotte if they could get the fairways in order. We got a hot deal price so at $25 rated a fair value because of the overall layout and the staff. If I had paid a normal rate I might have stopped after a few holes and requested a refund.

Course conditions are not what it used to be. Greens had bare spots. You would expect to pay $20.00 a round for conditions like this, not $60 plus. Very disappointed .

The course was in pretty good shape. They have gotten rid of some trees and things that make it better. Grass was still growing in and the greens had been aerated about 2.5 weeks ago. Will be a lot better after all the grass grows in.

Great course and excellent friendly staff but still wish they let you know ahead of time about aeration...would have been upset if I had paid rack rate

They never let us know that the day before they aired the greens and the sand traps need sand. It is that time of year though and a lot more than a lot less golf courses are probably the same way. The green fee was only $20 so I should had known. It was a good bang for the buck and the staff was friendly. Yes I will be back just get the green fees more in line.

It was great course for the price. There are several greens that need a lot of TLC. Would not deter me from going back as long as I were to see improvement. The rough was cut as opposed to the last time that I played here. It was much more of an appropriate height.

Was able to snag a great winter deal here and was not disappointed. Had a frost delay to start but the proshop did an excellent job getting everyone situated.

Course was dormant (as most are this time of year) but the conditions were average. Hard soil due to the frost but eventually it softened up when the sun was on it for a bit. Green were in good shape but tough to hold on approach. Putting was tricky with most of the surfaces being a little slow. Carts were in good shape.

Overall had a good experience and will be going back, especially if I can snag a deal.

I had not played since they were part of Carolina Trail. At that time course was in horrible condition and staff was demoralized as well. Now, I was greeted cheerfully by a staff that was genuinely friendly. The course was in very nice shape and greens were surprisingly in nice shape except for one that was not not good at all and another that had a couple spots on it. Other than that the overall the course was in good condition. Keep the ball in the fairway though as some of the rough is in gnarly grass and can hide your ball. Definitely will play again.

I liked the course and the staff was very friendly and courteous. Since i was visiting the area and had to rent clubs I would have liked to see a better selection of clubs in the rental assortment for the $25 I spent. In addition, it would be nice to have a port-a potty on each nine.

Everything would have been perfect if it weren't for the aeration done to the greens on Tuesday. You could not have a fair put from anywhere. All the rest was very good.

Pace of play was so long because there were 3 beginners in our group. Course was challenging but beautiful. Would definitely recommend.

This has been the best shape I've seen! There are some spots where the greens are still under repair but over all I haven't seen this course in this great of a shape! Mike at the pro shop is alway welcoming along witb every staff at this facility. If you haven't played here it's a must play!

Skybrook is a good course for the aspiring. It provides enough challenge for the mid - low handicapper, and has a way of humbling the high handicapper like myself. However the course was in great shape, and despite being behind a twosome and a foursome the action progressed rather quickly on a record hot. Food at lunch consisted of a gourmet hotdog, chips and cold bottle of water but it went down great because of the staff. All and all, Skybrook is a good course, just remember to have some cash in your wallet for the cart driver.

Course was in good shape for the mid summer heat. Would definitely play again, especially at the GOLFNOW hot deal rate is a steal. Quite hilly but fun to play.

Played Skybrook again and they green are rolling so much better. The new management is really putting together a great product for a great price.
