friendly place
Staff was all super friendly and this was a fun place to work on the short game. It's unfortunate that the greens are riddled with ball marks - and I blame the players. Seems few people bother to repair their damage. If you can't find the one you made, then take a moment and repair another one you see. People need to stop being lazy if they want to keep playing at a nice facility like this.
Yardage on all tees
Overall the course is great but the white tee placement are not the right yardage and also the black tees are also not the right yardage please fix that knights play on all of your 27 holes.
Thanks have a Great day.
Great with my son
As always, we were warmly welcomed by the staff and greeted with a beautiful day of golf. Played with my son ( who's learning the game) and he and I had a great time. We will return and hone both of our games.
Par 3 Anyone?!!!!!
Well let's start at the clubhouse. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was clean, the snack bar was good, and they had the usual stuff like balls, gloves, etc.
It is a training facility so do not go there thinking you are playing the usual round of golf. The driving range is very large and the other practice areas are well kept.
The Course:
Each hole presented its own set of challenges if your short game is not up to snuff or if you have issues with par 3 holes. Even though the rules clearly state to fix divots, it was clear that no one was and in a couple of locations there was a lot of goose crap.
Also, the course scorecard even mentions rules for pacing, number of hits allowed, etc., clearly these were not being followed as we were often 2-3 carts deep waiting for the tee.
I think I would rather go there for the driving range and other practice areas, rather than play a round.
Great course
Love the course super fun and loved that they had 27 holes because I played them all that day.
Way Overbooked
Love this course but not playing on weekends for a bit. 10+ min wait on every single hole, and this is the last few times I’ve played.
Don't bother
Extremely rude older gentlemen at the front desk. Arrived a bit early trying to beat the weekend rush and was told I had to wait. Then he proceeded to "help" the next guess and rudely ignored me. The staff seems to think they are overseeing Pinehurst. I would only play here through the Golfnow rate. Paying a dollar a hole is too much given how horribly kept the place is. The pace of play is normally miserable. Do yourself a favor and go to a real course.
It really is a shame but yes basically the clientele doesn't have any respect for the gem that this place could be.
