Nestled on the North Carolina coastline between Wilmington, NC, and Myrtle Beach, SC, St. James Plantation is proud to have three very different, challenging golf courses that can be enjoyed by golfers of all playing abilities - The Gauntlet Club , The Players Club and The Members Club.

Set amid Carolina pines and picturesque live oaks, the Gauntlet Club plays beside and in view of coastal salt marshes and the Intracoastal Waterway. You’ll find all the trademarks that have made P.B. Dye Courses famous to golfers around the world: heroic carries over water, pot bunkering, multi-level fairways and a variety of grasses for striking, visual contrast. The final three holes play through and over a series of lakes and marshes, providing a spectacular finish to your round.

The Players Club course has been carefully crafted to enhance the spectacular, natural beauty of the unspoiled coastal landscape. Cate has maintained the essential character of the land by using the rolling terrain, hardwood and pine forests, naturally occurring water and native vegetation to the maximum degree possible. The magnificent Par 72 layout calls for a wide variety of shots that will test every aspect of your game. The course is a challenging and eye-pleasing design that blends ingenious use of berms and bunkers with the beautiful and natural landscape of Coastal Carolina.

Recognized in 1996 by Golf Digest’s “Places To Play,” The Members Club is unquestionably synonymous with a private club because of its amenities and first class service.

Architect Hale Irwin’s entree to the Grand Strand is inspiring and refreshing. The essence of this immaculately groomed par 72 layout, captured on 200 acres of natural terrain, blends uncommon elevation changes with strategic challenges of water and sand amid beautiful Carolina pines.

The picturesque three-story clubhouse features a complete golf shop, locker rooms and lounges, snack bar, meeting rooms, state-of-the-art fitness center, tennis courts, and an indoor swimming complex. An extensive practice facility allows you to fine tune every aspect of your game. Nine additional holes are being constructed now, expanding the course to 27 holes.
